Dr. D. P. Kothari obtained his B.E. in Electrical Engineering in 1967, M.E. in Power Systems in 1969 and Ph.D. in 1975 from BITS Pilani. He has served in several distinguished academic positions, including Vice-Chancellor of VIT Vellore, Director-in-Charge and Deputy Director at IIT Delhi, and Principal of VRCE Nagpur. He has also served as a visiting professor at international universities.
